2018 Great Taste® 2-star award-winning Govinda Chevallier edition is brewed with heritage Chevallier Barley, a variety of barley, grown between 1822 and 1934, and hopped with East Kent Goldings. This results in citrus, a high bitterness with lots of peach and apricot jam. This beer is a journey of rediscovery in to the complex mix of flavours from the heritage Chevallier malt, complemented by 120 IBUs of hops, giving a very long, quite unique finish that keeps on giving.
A multiple award winning celebration of strong traditional brewing. Brewed faithfully to a heritage Burton-Upon-Trent IPA recipe, dating from the early 1800’s. Govinda pays homage to the highly-hopped pale ales shipped to India to slake the thirst of the English Raj.

"The stone fruit aromas come through well in the nose (described as 'magnificent'). There is real fruitiness on the palate, as well as sweet, malty depth. A rich, more'ish and well balanced beer with a long finish"
